Gretchen Libby :: Speaker from Industrial Light & Magic

The SIM Centre is pleased to announce that Gretchen Libby, an executive in charge of business development and global strategy at Industrial Light & Magic, will be speaking in Vancouver. Industrial Light & Magic is a division of Lucasfilm, and has set the standard for visual effects in the film industry for decades, beginning with the ubiquitous Star Wars trilogy. The VEF event seeks to bring together entrepreneurs and industry leaders from across the technology sector, and is welcoming guests from industries such as film, media, video gaming, graphics and animation.

Welcome to the SIM Centre

The Social + Interactive Media Centre is a new research centre that supports a wide range of applied social, interactive and design projects. Funded by a 5-year grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the centre offers BC companies a way to tap the design, creative and technical expertise of Emily Carr faculty and students.
