Emily @ Grow

The SIM Centre is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Vancouver-based accelerator GrowLab. This Fall, 5 research assistants from Emily Carr will form an innovative design research team at the GrowLab headquarters. This groundbreaking initiative will focus on developing a new methodology for connecting design to Internet startups. RAs will engage directly with product innovations as they emerge within the iterative, accelerated research and development processes that are characteristic of the companies in residence. The project is led by Haig Arman, Associate Professor in Design & Dynamic Media, and SIM Centre Director Kate Armstrong, with support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
