Loud Crow Interactive

The SIM Centre is entering into an exciting new partnership with Loud Crow Interactive, a successful Vancouver-based company that specializes in richly animated ebook applications for children’s fiction. Led by Celeste Martin, Assistant Professor in Design and Dynamic Media, graduate and undergraduate students will be exposed to cutting-edge industry tools as they work with Loud Crow’s team to expand the interactive capabilities of their current platform and design a new series of book chapters for genres beyond children’s fiction. This is an important opportunity for Emily Carr to make a significant contribution to the rapidly expanding field of ebook design, and for Loud Crow to prepare their platform for wider use by industry partners.

This project is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
